Content marketing is the best way to grow your online presence and gain new leads - but it can seem overwhelming if you aren't sure how to begin. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Write Quality Content

When writing content for potential consumers, try writing with honesty and clarity about topics related to your industry. If you are having trouble generating ideas for blog posts there are lots of online tools that can guide you, and you can read more about some of my favourite ones to use here.

Be Consistent

Publishing several times per week is known to help build up an online presence quickly – consistency is key when it comes to content marketing. Remember that you may not see results immediately, but be patient and don’t give up too early on in the process. If you consistently are writing helpful content, you will eventually see an increase in your traffic, and your sales.

Add some backlinks

Adding backlinks within the body of your articles is a great way to get your brand noticed without too much effort on your part. Try building on other companies’ success and traffic by linking to them in your article – this is a great way to help establish your domain as being reputable in the Google algorithms for search rankings, and improve your domain authority.

Getting backlinks is one of the easiest ways to boost your SEO. In fact, getting backlinks has a direct impact on your search engine ranking and visibility. The more backlinks you have from reputable domains the better!

One way to get more backlinks is by creating content that naturally attracts them. This means using anchor text and including links within your posts, and writing articles that are of high-quality. Reach out to influencers in your industry

Influencers are a great way to help you grow your audience fast – and they usually are pretty responsive if you reach out to them in the right way – but make sure you have a solid social media presence first or you likely won’t get a response back as they receive dozens of messages daily from other companies all vying for their attention.

Utilize video whenever possible

The inclusion of video throughout your blog posts and in your social media posts not only helps to break up the text, but it actually can help boost your website’s SEO as web pages with video are actually more likely to rank higher in Google search results. Additionally, studies show that 52% of customers find product video helpful and gives them the confidence they need to make a purchase. With statistics like that, you can’t really go wrong by adding video to your social media posts, as well as your website or blog.

Optimize For Mobile and Desktop

The reality is that most searches are being done on mobile devices, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore desktop search. You should optimize your website for both desktop and mobile users as well as look at your rankings in desktop searches, especially since some sites can drop in rankings if they aren’t optimized for mobile search. The bottom line is that it’s important to have a clear plan and remain consistent across all of your marketing channels, including your website.
